December 2023

🔍 Summary

December focused on improving stability around macro imports and ensuring better data isolation across customers. The helper interface received minor usability upgrades, while several bugs impacting macro reliability were addressed, including a high-priority issue involving leaked or broken macros.

✨ New Features & Enhancements

  • Helper Tree Structure UI Support
Updated the frontend to support hierarchical display of helper methods, aligning the UI with the backend's existing tree-structured data endpoint. This makes helper navigation more intuitive for template developers.

  • Static Helper Search Bar
Improved usability by making the search bar fixed during vertical scrolling in the Helpers panel, making it easier to filter and locate functions without losing context.

🛠 Bug Fixes & Improvements

  • Critical Fix: Cross-Customer Macro Leak
Resolved a serious issue where broken or inaccessible macros appeared across unrelated customer tenants. This was most visible with macros from the forum-hilfe instance showing up in others. Strict scoping has now been enforced to isolate macro data per tenant.

  • Fix: Orphaned Macros After Import
Addressed an issue where deselected or duplicate entries during import could result in macros being partially created without full metadata, leaving them in an orphaned state.

  • Fix: 500 Error on Macro Import
Fixed a backend exception that occurred during the import of a full macro set (e.g., after deleting all macros and restoring from backup). The system now gracefully handles re-imports, even on clean environments.
