October 2023

🔍 Summary

October centered on refining user access control, enhancing usability for admins, and improving data sharing and import flows. Feature limitations based on licensing were introduced, and user entities were enriched to better support permission management. Import safeguards and library usability also saw valuable updates.

✨ New Features & Enhancements

  • License-Based Feature Access
Added support for feature restrictions based on license status. Users now receive appropriate in-app warnings if attempting to access features beyond their license tier.

  • User Entity Expansion
The user model now includes group memberships and email visibility. This enhancement makes it easier to investigate permissions without needing admin assistance.

  • Resource-Specific URLs
    Generated URLs now retain:

    • Active search filters

    • Current tab selection

    • Targeted macro for preview
This allows admins to share direct links that preserve the context for collaboration or documentation.

🛠 Bug Fixes & Improvements

  • Macro Import Limit Awareness
Import UI now informs users of the 100-macro limit:

    • Shows remaining slots (e.g., “You can select 6 more macros”)

    • Disables import if the selection exceeds the limit

    • Continues allowing partial import up to the threshold

  • Import State Cleanup
After an import completes, the system now clears previously attached files and resets the form state. This prevents confusing behavior on repeated imports without re-uploading.
